my suggestion...if one day...

How i wish if one day students are allow to have a PDA each ( of couse is we pay ourselves ) to take down our notes and doing homework using PDA , it will be fun and students will like it very much. doing this homework is quite a good idea. Newspaper shows that if teachers do blogging and follow the fashion like what we do. Blogging , msn etc would be a useful way that can make the students be more interested in this way of learning. Therefore we should have more of these activities. I think that teachers would be shown more respect if they are doing the lastest 'in' things like what the students do and don't take their identity as teacher-student to 'win' us , i think teachers should treat students like their friends and communicate with students like how they communicate with their friends. No offence =X

I think that reality TV persever for example campus superstar, star idol, fear factor which were being aired on TV were just for entertainment purposes for the teenagers.

In my own opinion, the shows like superstar/campus superstar etc, i think that it is a waste of money to vote for their favourite contestant. I think that the contestants should use their own abilities to compete with one another instead of depending on their fans. I really thinks that it is not fair because what if one of the contestant is rich...he/she will surely call their parents to vote more...

As for fear factor, I think is just for enterainment for some of us. It doesnt have any value knowledge..They shows us how they got to overcome through those dangerous stunts and eating disghusting things like live insects, aninmal's body parts..and just to get the prize (money)..I think it is damn GROSS...(>.<)

question : why is everybody talking about TV programmes !?! anyway, since we are already on that topic, one of the best reality TV programme is AMAZING RACE. its fun to watch and it is totally REALISTIC, unlike shows like survivor which is totally FAKE. Amazing race is a true family show. another show is CRISS ANGEL'S MINDFREAK. now that is a totally mind freaking show although sometimes we ask ourselves whether he is for real or he is just trying to make a fast buck XD there was once, a few episodes back, he said that he was going to walk through a glass panel of a store. But then, the strange thing was that he asked a few people to put a large sheet of paper in front of the glass panel and then he appeared out of the glass via the paper, now I ask you, if he is a true magician, why does he have to cover the glass panel in order to come out -.-'' . Well, if we ask the shopkeeper how he managed to do that he'll probably say he dosen't know maybe because he was already paid and instructed not to tell any one how he did it XP. moral is don't let your eyes decieve you.... well that is all i have to say. why don't you comment on what your favourite or not favourite shows.... d[-__-]b

i just feel that this show is full of crap . it just doesnt have any value knowledge , doing dangerous stunts without any professionalism to eating disghusting animals' body parts and so on . just a simple YUCKS for me . ((:

THE SWAN
a show talking about women not feeling secure about how they look . therefore signing themselves up for this surgery thing to make them feel better . i feel that these ladies show feel good as they are beautiful both on the inside-out . i feel that even if they are good looking on the outside and not the inside .... what's the use ? it's the inner beauty that others want to see in them . but if they feel that the aftermath of the surgery can make that feel more secure or whatsoever , then it's their choice in doing so .

GET REAL
this reality programme , i think is a good show . it shows about others life , form teenagers to the old-aged . teenagers - the so called COOL stuffs that they do or did . like one i remembered , a rich guy , eating drugs to having tatoos on his body , later causing his once - closed-to sister to become not close to him anymore . i think that these wrong doings are very not worth of doing . adults- how their children treat them or do to them as in attitude or by actions to having jobs as cleaner and being looked down of . i feel that being a cleaner , is not an easy job and they should NEVER be looked down by others . IT'S STILL A JOB !!

- FEAR FACTOR: i think this is a bad reality show, to me. it requires people to do dangerous stuffs and stunts, and also things like eating disgusting animals' body parts. also, it wasn't easy to win the money. after all, people took part in this just for the money. its obvious that they are just eyeing the cash that they gonna win.

- THE SWAN ; VILLA WELLNESS: women these days care a lot about how they look, and also how others look at them. thus, they're feeling insecure. therefore, wanting themselves to be in part of the programme to undergo sugeries to "correct" what they think is not right about themselves. i guess they should feel beautiful about themselves, no matter how people looked at them. after all, no one is perfect. its inner beauty that really matters, but i guess not many think it this way.

- CAMPUS SUPERSTAR ; SINGAPORE IDOL: i think all these contests are okay, to me. after all, everyone wanna give it a shot. its not mainly for entertainment, but to prove that we have local talents from the younger generation.

I've watched all the singing competitions like Campus Superstar / Singapore Idol II and also other programmes like Fear Factor etc . For example recently the latest episode of Fear Factor showed the very dangerous stunt whereby they have to go on a big board roped by the helicopter above the sea. Then they'll have to get all the ribbons without falling off the board in the shortest time possible. And once in the past seasons, they even have to eat pizzas with earthworm on top of them.

I thought that it was really very adventurous of the participants as they risked their lives and even had to undergo dangerous stunts and also to bear with the 'food' that were too gross to believe. But some of their episodes were dedicated to charity, meaning that the participants each represent a charity organisation, and if they win, the organisation they represent will benefit from the money they win. Therefore, i really salute them.

These programmes should be only for entertainment's sake and should not be tried without knowing your own limit. And while being entertained by the fear factor program, we're also being educated to be more open to such adventurous concepts and might even try the nearest extreme sports, since we cannot follow the stunts of the program itself. With more of such programs, im sure that the youth will be more open to such ideas and thus more liberal and think that it's a norm.

As to the singing competions that i've watched, for example Singapore Idol and Campus Superstar, the values that they've conveyed is much more and even left a very deep impact in youth these days. I think that they actually teaches the youth to pursue their dreams more freely and it just seems so near and easy with the increasing numbers of talent quests. Therefore everybody's dreams doesn't seem as far-fetched as before.

Thus youth these days, after seeing more of such competitions and also examples of idols being 'selected' from these competitions, they're able to dare to dream, and to also take the courageous step forward to go for auditions.

Another more interesting reality programme is 'Swan', whereby ugly people (whether too fat, or too lanky) joined the competition and receives EXTREME MAKEOVER using liposuctions, face lifting and all. Very daring, but all for the sake of pursuing dreams as well. This programme should be more of entertainment sake, as we Singaporeans, being the KIA-SI people, will not be able to take it. ^^

this blog stuff is a good way of writing (typing XD) a journal. instead of us straining our hands, teacher should come up with more electronic related stuff to do ( which is of course related to EL ) oh ya 1 more thing holas how is the admin job goin ?? found any nice background or cool song to listen to? cant wait -.-''

well i would start of with saying that it would be for entertainment but as well as telling us some stuff like perserverence in fear factor when they're bout to do stunts or eat something disgusting. These shows also make our youth generation quite engrossed in them, therefore, wasting lots of their time on the television set instead of their studies but I'm not saying that we cannot watch television. Anyway talking about extreme makeovers, I think that they should be contented with what they have right now like the features of their face and all that..not only that - the show ( in a way ) does not teach people the right way of slimming down too as in the case of going for surgery instead of exercising ( e.g. running / jogging ). But I kind of like extreme makeover - home edition :D..but i do not think we as youths well be more adventurous by watching these shows such as fear factor but we have to try the stunts out ourselves.
so yea--there it ends here.

there's this geraldine see. her smile is just so mesmerizing. oh god. though she's kind of a butch but she's really pretty ! her fine features, her mesmerizing smile, her singing. .just love her !

and come to talk abt this teresa tseng, i don't really like her or even notice abt her. her singing was okay but her looks. .she gave me this kind of feeling that she's using her looks to seduce the audience. her mom used to be a singer that explains her singing skills. woots !

renfred ng. talented young BOY. lol. eh, he's fucking rich ! okay, i think he if he doesn't use his family wealth to help him win the contest by voting and such, he's gonna fucking lose to geraldine see or teresa tseng, yah. i think he is so called the MAOMAO or what. =.= so act cute.

the last superstar, ng chee yang. he got this very proud look okay, yuck. and i seriously don't like his hair or whatever. his singing skills are okay but appearance counts to me. what did the fucking hell yuyang lose to him !? yuyang should be the campus superstar, zzz.

she got a nice and wonderful voice..among the girls i suppose she is more daring and is able to let go of herself when she is on stage..she is able to sing and dance well..but i dont think she will be able to win the competition cause i dont think she have enough supporters.

Renfred ng
his singing is just far too normal..he cant even sing properly..from the way he pronouce all the words..its unbelievable that he could stay in the competiton until now..but its possible for him to win the competition because he is born in a rich family..and he have many fans and supporters..

Discussion on reality programmes.

I think that reality shows are just a way to earn fast money,and don't have any messages or value to the audiences,it's just pure entertainment and finding local talents,which isn't totally true as some contestants are from other country and I dont think they should win even if they're talent is that gd.For example ,Theresa from campus superstar,she's from Taiwan.

Dangerous stunts in charity shows isn't that great either.What if some actor or actress suffer serious injuries just by perfoming stunts to help charity.Im SURE there are tons of other things that they can do instead.Every yr is the same old thing,dangerous stunts by some local actors,how great.

Teenagers these days are wasting money voting for their favourite contestant and in the end,what?They lose anws.I admit it is pretty entertaining,like American idol,during auditions.For some reason, I'd rather have foreign contests than local ones.Ugh,and there's even Singapore Idol coming up.This should be interesting.
